Advantage RCM & Consulting, Inc. (“Advantage RCM,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit our website at www.advrcm.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you consent to the practices described in this Policy.

This Policy applies to information collected through the Site only. It does not describe our handling of protected health information (PHI) received from healthcare provider clients in the course of our revenue cycle management services, which is governed by HIPAA and the Business Associate Agreements we execute with each client, as described in Section 6 below.

Information We Collect

Information you provide voluntarily. When you contact us through the Site, request information about our services, or subscribe to communications, we may collect your name, business or practice name, job title, email address, telephone number, and the content of your message.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, certain information may be collected automatically through standard web technologies, including your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. This information is collected through server logs and, where applicable, cookies and similar technologies.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and requests for information about our services;
  • Communicate with you regarding proposals, services, and business matters you have initiated;
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
  • Analyze Site usage to improve our content and user experience;
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations; and
  • Protect the rights, property, and safety of Advantage RCM, our clients, and others.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

The Site may use cookies and similar technologies to support basic functionality and to understand how visitors use the Site. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information collected through the Site against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You transmit information to us at your own risk.

Protected Health Information and HIPAA

Advantage RCM is a business associate to its healthcare provider clients under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and its implementing regulations. PHI received from clients in connection with our billing and revenue cycle management services is used and disclosed only as permitted by HIPAA and the applicable Business Associate Agreement, and is maintained under safeguards consistent with the HIPAA Security Rule.

The Site is not a channel for transmitting PHI. Please do not submit patient information, insurance identifiers, medical records, or any other individually identifiable health information through the Site’s contact forms or general email addresses. If you are a patient with a question about a bill you received, please contact your healthcare provider’s office directly using the telephone number printed on your billing statement.

Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for a general business audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

Your Choices and Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information you have provided to us through the Site by contacting us using the information in Section 11. You may opt out of receiving marketing or informational communications from us at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in those communications or by contacting us directly. Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable state law, and we will honor valid requests as required by law.

The Site may contain links to websites operated by third parties. This Policy does not apply to those websites, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The “Effective Date” above indicates when this Policy was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
